Hi again. My parents recently bought a new car. My hometown is in the state of Maine in the United States, which usually gets a lot of snow in the winter. Since my town is in the countryside, the roads are often dangerous and unplowed. Other roads are in bad condition no matter what season of the year. Because of this, throughout my childhood, my family always used a Subaru, which is well-known in Maine for being a rugged, reliable car maker. We always bought used Subarus, so the ones we owned probably didn’t last as long as they would have if they were new, but they still held up very well over rough roads and potholes. This time, though, my mother found a used Honda Element. I think she bought the Honda because of the color, which was “kiwi green.” My father hates the color, but says he likes the car. They also considered buying an old Toyota Corolla, but decided against it, although Toyotas are also very popular in Maine. I guess you could say my folks are connoisseurs of used Japanese cars.
