#155: MY WRITING LIFE RETURNS !!!

I realize with great happiness and joy, My Lovely Ones, that we have just celebrated Saint Valentine’s Day and I, your Most Adorable Mary Ann-san, had a terrifically awesome one indeed.

I received a package, a little over a week early, from my sister-in-law, Vivian, which I opened on Valentine’s Day and first found two cards for the day. One from her wishing Happy Valentine’s Day and one: From The Cat with Valentine Wishes from my Cat BABY PAWS. The box was filled with chocolate heart candies plus four boxes of my most favorite candy in the world, JUNIOR MINTS. These are creamy mints in pure chocolate and for Valentine’s Day the mint centers are red and white. Sadly, my Valentine’s Day Weekend is almost over and I am already on my last box of JUNIOR MINTS.

My Godmother came over on Valentine’s Day as well, to drop off a gift of delicious candy and to see how I was doing, but that candy is now gone too. As I said, it was delicious. It was, Hershey’s, Kit Kat, and Peanut Butter Cups. Yum. Yum Yum .

BLOG: #155: MY WRITING LIFE RETURNS !!!

As you, My Dear Readers, may or may not know, I have been writing a novel on and off for some years now. And by all intents and purposes, I should be finished by now. But sadly, I am not. I am still working on it even though many people have asked whether it is done, or when I am I going to be through or plain enough, is it finished yet?

To be honest, sometimes I wish I was done so I can begin something new………. BUT………as to why I am not done………could it be because I am lacking interest in the writing of the novel itself? No. That is not it. Pure laziness? What?




Have you ever heard of the term : Writer’s Block? That could be part of it. And if that is it, for now my Writer’s Block is gone and I am able to go ahead and write with no problems. I am writing the introduction to the book now. I was unaware though just how long the writing of a simple introduction could take ……….. and with no back up notes to work with, if I lose any part of the introduction, I am what you would call sunk or in other words, a dead duck.

I have “lost” many parts of my novel to this computer but I haven’t given up the writing. Not yet anyway. I have just typed over and over and over again what I can remember goes where.

Being a writer is not easy. And do not let anyone tell you that writing is just a hobby. That it is not a real job. It is a job. It may not be the kind like other people are use to, but it is a job. It is a job that I secretly enjoy and must soon get back to as soon as it is possible.

Like now? Yes. Like now!

After I have had a rest first.
