Greetings To All Of You My Sweet Ones!!
I am hoping that the past few weeks have been good to you and for you and that your weather situation has warmed up for you at least some by now. Here in Hilo, not much has changed due to the fact that it is still Winter and that it will continue to be so until the twentieth day of March. But at least the LOW temperatures are in the upper 60’s now so that is not TOO bad. However……what does THIS have to with this week’s Blog? Surely nothing? Well, not exactly, as you will see.

My Dear Sweet Ones !! My Dear Loves !!
Well, here we are, once again, making our way towards yet another Holiday, In just a couple of weeks, on 17 March, 2018, it will be Saint Patrick’s Day. It is a fun time I guess you could say. People wear green clothes, spend a lot of green (money, that is) and drink a lot of Green Beer. And of course, eat lots of Corned Beef and Cabbage. All to celebrate being Irish…..if only for a day.
And no matter what, Saint Patrick’s Day always comes during our period of Lent. (When Saint Patrick’s Day falls on a Lenten Friday, Roman Catholics usually get a dispensation from our local Bishop so we can be allowed to eat the Corned Beef part of the meal that day.). And as you all know, this Lent, I have been very busy trying very hard to clean my Kitchen as part of my Lent. And yes, I think I am doing rather well at it actually.
HOWEVER……several things happened this past week which slowed down my Kitchen Progress. There was the matter of the Eye Exam that I went to on Friday. And the day before on Thursday I had call the Military with regard to getting my ID renewed so I shall have to do that next week. The Kitchen hold up on that was that the man I spoke with said I had bring my Social Security card and ID and I had no idea where my card was so I had to take the time to go and hunt for it. So, Kitchen work did not start until late.
As for today, yes, I am starting late again. I am not giving up. I am just starting late. I was going to tell you that I was going to begin the minute I end this Blog. But no. That will not be either
because before I can start my work, I need some quiet time. And I wish I could say, OH. YAY !! I will go and read for awhile. But I am saving my reading time for tonight.
What I plan to do exactly is this: whenever I want some REAL peace and quiet during the day, I go outside and sit on my front porch chair and just relax and concentrate on the beauty that is GOD and all of HIS CREATION. And that is how I get my Wee Bit O’ Quiet.
What the Weather is outside when this time is taken, does
not really matter because it is time I am spending with God in HIS QUIETNESS AND LOVE that matters so I can do what it is HE wants me to do…….no what Holiday is coming or what Season it may be.
And it is because of this that I know in spite of everything, I will know that I will have a successful Lenten time (Season) and
I THANK HIM for HIS….WEE BIT O’ QUIET.
And that when I need it, all I have to do is HIM for it.
