Hey there,

It’s Matt the English teacher here.

Are you enjoying summer? It’s pretty hot isn’t it?

We are well into summer now and I’m really enjoying the heat. For me it beats the cold any day. Of course I need to allow myself extra time when walking anywhere so I don’t have to rush. If I break into anything faster than a moderately paced walk, my pores open up and release copious amounts of sweat which is a slightly uncomfortable feeling.

But other than that I love the summer because I can wear T-shirts, shorts and flip flops. I can also eat and drink outdoors which is great. BBQs, beaches and summer walks are great fun for me.

What are your feelings about summer? What activates do you like to do?

I’ve heard that temperatures In Japan have been hitting record highs so please take care to stay sufficiently hydrated. Luckily there are plenty of konbinis and vending machines around to assist you if needed.
