Sunny Days Ahead

With all of the warm weather we have been having lately, I have to say I am getting really excited. I really and I mean really do love warm/hot weather and as you may have imagined summer is of course my absolute favorite season.
I love the sunny days and fresh air that the spring brings for all to enjoy. So much in fact that I wrote a short poem that include similes and personification.
A similie is when you compare two entirely different things using “like” or “as”.
Ex: as brave as a lion or they fought like cats and dogs
Personification is when you give inanimate objects or non-living things human characteristics and/or actions.
These methods are generally used to help describe something so the listener or the reader can have clear understanding of what someone is saying or what someone has written. *You can also hear this language often in everyday conversation.*

Spring is here! Spring is here!
This is all I can hear
While the trees all wave and cheer.

It’s here! It’s here!
Like a mother, the sun is waking many cherry blossoms
Isn’t it great! Isn’t it awesome!

It’s here! It’s here! Yes, finally it’s here!
The time has now come
So like the sun, the spread the cheer
Come one, Come all! Let’s have some fun!
It’s here! It’s here! Yes! Spring is here!
