Trips in Spring 「あぜりあ」本八幡・西船橋・津田沼・佐倉
It’s that time of year once again! Winter is beginning to fade, and the winds of spring are beginning to blow. With this time of year comes spring time festivals, cherry blossom viewing, and vacation plans! This year, I will travel to many locations in countries around southeast Asia for work, so I want to do springtime travel in Japan. For Golden Week, I plan to go to West Japan and if possible, Okinawa or Fukuoka. I have never been to Fukuoka before, so I look forward to the opportunity to eat the awesome food, and enjoy the scenery that Kyushu offers. West Japan is interesting for foreign people because of how different the atmosphere is from Tokyo area. Food culture, social interactions, the way the cities look, and the abundance of culturally significant attractions makes it very appealing for foreign visitors. My favorite places to go are Denden Town, Osaka Castle, and Dotombori.
I will spend a lot of time in Singapore this year for work. I have never been there before, and don’t know what to expect, but I am excited to mark another place on the map I can say I have experienced. Last year, I went to Taiwan,
(Mainland) China, and America, but this year it is possible I will get the opportunity to go to even more places. For someone like me, from a small part of the world that is in many ways feels like its own “little world,” this is a big deal. This year, I want to go to South Korea, Hong Kong, and the Philippines. Hong Kong, in particular, is a place I have always seen in films and television, but have never been to, so I look forward to seeing it. Traveling abroad is always scary, but a good kind of scary. The thrill of seeing a new place, trying new foods, and making new friends are spices that make live taste great.
Are there any places you plan to go to or want to go to this year? Where? Why? They say planning your next vacation gives you motivation to work harder, so consider what you want to do?
